LAMBERT SOMEC INC. emerged from two companies, Marcel Lambert Inc. and Somec Inc.
Marcel Lambert Inc.
Founded in 1954, Marcel Lambert was incorporated in 1961. Until the early 1970s the company focused on electrical work. In 1971, the company made a change in direction, concentrating on electricity in large buildings. In 1977, it added plumbing & heating to its activities. Beginning in 1981, Marcel Lambert Inc. developed a solid expertise in natural gas, especially in the construction of conversion and pressure regulating stations, distribution, and industrial and commercial heating system fabrication.
Somec Inc.
The beginnings of Somec Inc. date back to 1969. At first, this new company specialized in industrial and commercial building mechanicals and provided piping services. The following year it added ventilation/air conditioning services and in 1972 began offering mechanical engineering services. The same year it started a sheet metal fabrication plant. In 1982, millrighting & boilermaking were added to it's activities.
Lambert Somec Inc.
Recognizing the advantages of being able to offer a full range of integrated mechanical and electrical services, and after successful cooperation, the two companies decided in early 1985 to create Lambert Somec Inc., thereby becoming one of the largest construction companies in Quebec in the electromechanical field, with several hundreds of employees.

Since 2001, the third generation of the company's management has been hard at work, surrounded by a strong, experienced team devoted to customer satisfaction.
Denis Linteau (1942-2012)
For almost 30 years Denis Linteau worked as a director and chairman at Lambert Somec. His determination and business acumen helped the company excel in carrying out major projects in the industry. His key contributions led to many successful projects abroad, particularly in Africa. Denis Linteau also helped create a number of joint ventures. Throughout his long career, he served on the boards of Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ), Corporation des maîtres électriciens du Québec (CMEQ) and Bureau des soumissions déposées du Québec (BSDQ).
